38-yr-old killed in accident

According to police,Sharma was heading home on his Kinetic Honda scooter after completing his work when he was hit by a speeding Verna car near Sector 36/37 Light Point. He was seriously injured and was rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH-16),where he succumbed to injuries. A native of Himachal Pradesh,he was staying with his wife and two children. A case of causing death due to negligence has been registered at the Sector 36 police station.

In a separate incident,Sector 52 resident Naresh Kumar alleged that his motorcycle was hit by a Tata Ace being driven by Dhanas resident Zakir Khan at Furniture Market,Dhanas,on Thursday. Kumar and his pillion rider Sonu were injured in the accident. While Kumar was admitted to GMSH-16,Sonu was rushed to PGI. A case has been registered at the Sector 11 police station. The accused has been arrested.
