2 plantation drives held

A tree plantation drive was carried out by the State Bank of India,Chandigarh Circle under the bank’s ‘Go Green Campaign’. NK Chari,Chief General Manager,and Raj Bala Malik,mayor of Chandigarh’s Municipal Corporation (MC) planted shrubs and saplings opposite the SBI LHO building. Other senior functionaries of the bank as well as Saurabh Joshi,Councillor of the MC,also participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion,Chari said that the bank’s Chandigarh Circle branch had started the tree plantation campaign on Bank Day i.e. on July 1 and will continue it till the end of the month.

Meanwhile,another tree plantation drive was organised by the Family Planning Association of India,in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club at the HUDA park in Sector 6 and multi-speciality health camp at SBA church,Surajpur.
