16-year-old boy electrocuted

A 16-year-old boy,Lekhraj,was electrocuted after coming in contact with a high voltage wire at a Janmashtmi function at Santan Dharam Mandir,Sector 27. He had come from UP to act in the Krishna Leela. The incident took place when he was standing backstage and came in contact with the high tension wire of the sound system. He died on the spot. The sound system owner Suresh Kumar,a resident of Baltana,Zirakpur,was arrested and a case registered against him on charges of causing death due to negligence under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code. Kumar ,who had used half-cut wire in the system during the programme,was later released on bail.
