10-yr-old’s rapist arrested

The UT police on Wednesday arrested the accused who allegedly raped a girl of Colony number 4 in the forest area near the Colony. The accused was identified by the 10-year-old victim who gained consciousness late evening on Tuesday.

The victim said that she had been allegedly raped by the minor,who is also a resident of Colony Number 4. He was caught from Colony number 4 on Wednesday and was produced in the local court. According to the court’s order,the accused has been sent to a juvenile home.

According to the police,the accused is a drug addict and alcoholic.

The victim had stated that she did not know the accused. The 10-year-old victim was found unconscious by a fellow resident of the colony late Monday evening who informed the family of the minor.
