Anand District Collector suspended for ‘moral turpitude’
The GAD order states that Gadhvi’s 'headquarters' during the period of suspension will be issued separately. Meanwhile the Anand District Development Officer (DDO), Milind Bapna will hold additional charge of the District collector until further orders.

In a sudden decision late on Wednesday evening, the Gujarat government issued a suspension order against Anand District Collector DS Gadhvi ‘for serious charges of misconduct and moral turpitude’, initiating a disciplinary action.
Gadhvi a senior IAS officer in the Gujarat cadre has been placed suspension with ‘immediate effect’ by an order issued by Jaimeen Shah Under Secretary Services (II) of the General Administration Department (GAD) Gujarat “in exercise of the powers conferred” by the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969. The order stated that Gadhvi would be “entitled to receive a subsistence allowance at an amount equal to the leave salary which he would have drawn if he would have been on leave on half average pay or on half day and in addition dearness allowance, if admissible”under the Rules.
