(File) A 47-year-old cook in Karnataka’s Hubbali was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting two minor boys and recording the act on his mobile phone, the police said on Wednesday.
The police identified the accused as Prabhanjan, who hails from Odisha, and said that he worked in a hotel in Hubbali and stayed in a rented house. According to the complaint, Prabhanjan has been sexually assaulting the minors since December last year.

According to the police, Prabhanjan recorded the act on his mobile phone with the help of another boy and threatened them with dire consequences if they revealed the incident to others.
On Tuesday, a case was registered under sections 377 (unnatural offences) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code; sections 4 (penetrative sexual assault) and 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act; and section 66 (e) (violation of privacy) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
