Bengaluru traffic police conduct 1-day special drive against violations by e-comm delivery agents, collect nearly Rs 10 lakh fine
A class on traffic rules was held for delivery agents in Bengaluru.

After receiving several complaints regarding e-commerce delivery agents violating traffic rules in Bengaluru, the traffic police Saturday carried out a special drive in the city and collected a total fine of Rs 9.64 lakh.
M N Anucheth, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), said in a statement, “Special drives are taken up regularly by BTP (Bengaluru Traffic Police)… Yesterday also cases were booked for visible traffic violations by all types of vehicles including those used in e-commerce delivery… Also, yesterday, specifically for e-commerce delivery agents, after imposing the fine, a class in obeying traffic rules and safety was imparted…”
The highest quantum of fine amounting to Rs 2,91,000 was collected from helmetless two-wheeler riders. Altogether, 1,859 cases of traffic violations were recorded during the special drive.
