Bengaluru man tries to grab CISF officer’s rifle at Kempegowda airport, held
According to the police, the incident occurred after the man had mistakenly taken another passenger's luggage while exiting Kempegowda International Airport terminal.

A Bengaluru man was arrested after he allegedly tried to grab a rifle from a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer in Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on October 14, the police said.
The police have identified the arrested as Vikram Ramdas, 35, a resident of Kasturi Nagar, who had flown in from Hyderabad that morning.
According to the police, Ramdas had mistakenly taken another passenger’s luggage while exiting the terminal, which led to a minor argument with the rightful owner of the luggage around 7.30 am and subsequently the CISF officer intervened.
“It was at this point that Ramdas allegedly interfered with the officer’s duties,” said a police officer.
The CISF officer on duty alerted the control room. The Quick Response Team (QRT) arrived at the scene, detained Ramdas, and handed him over to the KIA police for questioning.
Ramdas was booked under Section 132 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for using criminal force to deter a public servant from duty. He was later released on station bail.
