Measles: State to resume drive after Centres report
The state government will resume the measles vaccination drive after receiving a reports from the Centre,which is expected in a week,said state health officials. The vaccination drive was suspended following the death of four children in Kutch district last week.
Additional Director of state health services Dr Paresh Dave said a meeting of all the district health officers was held recently to assess the situation. He said no new death has been reported. One death reported on Friday from Rapar taluka in Kutch district was not due to vaccination,but post-measles complications,he added.
Three killed in accident
Three persons died in an accident in Bavla town on Saturday afternoon following a collision between a ‘chakda’ and two autorickshaws. The decease include two children and a 30-year-old man. They are yet to be identified,the police said.
