Temperature continues to rise in state, Amreli records 42 degrees

Temperature continues to rise in state, Amreli records 42 degrees

With the rise in mercury level in the state, at least seven centres recorded temperature above 42 degrees Celsius Monday.
There is no rain forecast for the week in the state.
Amreli recorded the highest temperature at 42 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal temperature on Monday.
Other centres that recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius were Ahmedabad at 41.9, Surendranagar 41.6, Rajkot and Gandhinagar 41.5, Kandla Airport 40.3 and Vadodara 40.2 degrees Celsius.
Ahmedabad is expected to record 42 degree Celsius on Tuesday, as per the weather department forecast.
The highest minimum temperature of 26 degree Celsius was recorded at Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Dwarka and Vadodara.
