Even as the Junagadh Municipal Corporation (JMC) goes to polls on Sunday,candidates as well as political leaders are engaged in last ditch efforts to woo voters.
Meanwhile,the administration and the police are trying their best to ensure a free and fair election.
According to the police,nearly 1,200 personnel have been deployed for poll duty. On Saturday,they conducted a flag march in the sensitive areas.
Of the total 246 booths,24 have been declared hypersensitive and 76 as sensitive. Additional force has been deployed on all such booths.
Meanwhile,top leaders of both BJP and the Congress have been camping in Junagadh to monitor the poll process round the clock. According to sources,the Congress is strong in ward numbers 1,2,3,7,8,10,16,and 17,while the BJP is strong in wards number 4,5,6,9,11,12,13,14 and 15.
