The people of Surat seem to be preoccupied with the imminent arrest of Narayan Sai,Asaram’s son,who is facing a rape charge and has been absconding. So much so that any major movement of police force in the city evokes a flurry of interest,with the activity being misconstrued as Sai’s arrest. One such incident was reported from Surat on Tuesday. A number of police vehicles were seen on Athwalines Road,rushing towards Magdalla Airport. They were chased,with equal vigour,by media personnel equipped with cameras. Seeing this,many people residing in the vicinity of Magdalla Airport thought that Sai might have been arrested and

brought to Surat airport. In fact,many people stationed themselves on the roadside to “confirm” his arrest.

After a couple of hours,the mystery was solved when police teams came out from the airport. Inquired by curious people outside the airport,the police told them that it was a mock drill at the airport. After this discovery,the public dispersed in no time.

The “Dinosaur Princess” from Balasinor,Nawabzadi Aaliya Sultana Babi,was in for a surprise when a couple from South Africa presented her with a hand-painted ostrich egg during the recent Maharaja Express journey. The ostrich egg is a first in Aaliya’s collection,which consists of fossilised dinosaur eggs.

travelled to Balasinor on the Maharaja Express,told the Princess that they had decided to carry an ostrich egg for her after they learnt of her passion for fossils. Aaliya says,“This is the first time that a Maharaja Express guest has gifted me something. It is an ostrich egg which has the big five of Africa hand painted on it. It is a very nice and unique gift.

Seeing my passion for dinosaur eggs,the couple decided to gift me this one. I have preserved it with my collection.”
