Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will meet leaders at all levels of the pradesh unit in Gujarat “one-on-one” during his two day Gujarat visit beginning Friday, in a first after he took charge as LoP.
Gandhi lands in Gujarat Friday morning and will do back to back meetings with district, city leaders, MLAs, MPs and chiefs of the multiple cells of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee.
Congress MLA and vice president of Ahmedabad city unit, Shailesh Parmar told mediapersons: “During a discussion in the Lok Sabha, Rahulji had said that in the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress would form the government. He will guide the party ahead of the elections due in 2027”. Ahmedabad city unit president Himmatsinh Patel said Gandhi would, for the first time, meet taluka and ward level leaders. While all the meetings will be held at the Congress headquarter in Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan in Ahmedabad Friday, the Saturday address to party workers will be held in another part of Ahmedabad, said sources.
