Nebha murder: Santokben’s third son arrested from Mumbai

Porbandar police have arrested Kana, the third son of Santokben Jadeja,in connection with the 2005 Keshu Nebha murder case.

Porbandar police have arrested Kana, the third son of Santokben Jadeja,in connection with the 2005 Keshu Nebha murder case. Her two other sons — Kandhal and Karan — are already in judicial custody in this connection while she is out on bail.

Porbandar SP Nilesh Jajdia said,“Based on a tip-off,Kana was arrested from Thane in Mumbai on Sunday by a team of Porbandar police. He was brought here today.”

The police will produce him before a court on Tuesday to seek his remand,he said, adding that all 10 accused in the case are now under arrest.

On March 1,2005,Nebha was shot dead at point-blank range allegedly by Kandal,Karan and Kana,in Porbandar. Kandhal and Karan were arrested the next day while Kana and Santokben had fled. Santokben was arrested in October that year.

It was said to be a revenge killing as Nebha had allegedly supplied weapons to kill Sharman Munja Jadeja,Santokben’s husband. Besides,Nebha had also emerged as a business rival in mining and transport sectors for the Jadejas.

In 2006,Karan was released on bail and he allegedly killed Kandhal’s wife,Rekha. He was later arrested from Mumbai last year.

In 2007,Kandhal had escaped from the custody of Rajkot police when he was being taken to a private hospital. He was arrested from Nigaddi,a town near Pune,in 2009.
