Man arrested for posing as a cop

A man was arrested on Thursday by Dahod police for impersonating a police officer. Arjun Singh was caught by the residents of Kathala village in Dahod district when he was allegedly trying to snatch a silver ornament from a person named Diwan Damor in the same village and was handed over to the police.

Singh was allegedly involved in extracting money from several other persons in the guise of a police officer.

On Thursday afternoon,he had allegedly looted a truck driver,Amar Singh Kushwaha,on the Dahod-Indore highway. Singh allegedly asked Kushwaha to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 for carrying five persons on the truck. He also extracted Rs 1,500 each from them,police said.
