Ishrat case: Cops sent to judicial custody

A special CBI court Thursday sent police officers Tarun Barot and Bharat Patel to judicial custody after their remand period got over.

A special CBI court Thursday sent police officers Tarun Barot and Bharat Patel to judicial custody after their remand period got over. The two have been arrested in the 2004 Ishrat Jahan encounter case. The court had sent them to police remand for three days,which ended today. On being asked by the court if they had any complaint against police,the duo told the court that the CBI did not interrogate them in custody at all.
