A 35-year-old woman committed suicide and also killed her six-year-old daughter on Friday after she was caught in a raid conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) on charges of prostitution two days ago.
The raid was conducted on Wednesday in a city-based hotel at Nagarwada,after which police claimed that the woman was involved in flesh trade.
Following this,the woman had an argument with her husband and went to her parents’ house on New VIP Road along with her daughter. Police said reaching there she poisoned her daughter and hung herself in the house. “The incident had happened between 3 pm to 6 pm on Friday. After the forensic tests,an FIR has been lodged IPC 302 for murdering her daughter has been lodged,” said a police officer at City Police Station.

He represents an integrated form of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
A release from the Sree Muthappan Seva Samithy here said the event,to be staged at the Sree Narayana Cultural Mission at the Jodhpur Tekra area,will have day-long programmes including Thauyambaka (traditional drums ensemble) and Muthappan Vellattam in the forenoon,while the Thirvappana and Vellattom ceremonies will be at 4 pm.
