The 20th general body meeting of SBI Officers Association,Ahmedabad Circle,will be held on Sunday morning at Sardar Patel Memorial Hall in Shahibaug. State Health and Family Welfare Minister Jaynarayan Vyas will be the guest of honour.

Body to be formed for seed farmers

A special meeting of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will be held on March 8 to form a body of farmers engaged in seed production. The meeting will take up issues like the biotechnology regulatory bill during the budget session.

Accused escapes from police van

An accused reportedly escaped from a police vehicle outside the main gate of Sabarmati Central Jail on Saturday. Jail authorities said Akbar Hussain alias Saddam Hussain Mukhtar Hussain Ansari,from Bihar,had allegedly broken into a house.
