The letter was sent to Rajput after Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made changes to his Cabinet in which the former has not been repeated. Former Industries Minister and BJP MLA from Sidhpur constituency Balvantsinh Rajput has in a recent communication to the Secretary of Gujarat Assembly informed the latter that as minister he did not take any salary or allowances. Rajput added that he will continue to not accept any allowance due to him as an MLA. Rajput’s communication to the Assembly Secretary is in response to a letter to him from the Assembly Secretariat seeking certain details from him with reference to his salary and allowances as an MLA.
