The Indonesian Ambassador to India,Lt Gen (retired) Andi Mohammed Ghalib,and the Vietnam minister councillor and deputy chief of Mission,Guang Hua Sun attended a meeting organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) here on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed means of strengthening trade and business ties between the two countries.
SGCCI president Nilesh Mandlewala said,Gujarat had a major role in the national GDP growth,while Surat was equally important for the states development.
Mandlewala invited the delegates to the Mega Exhibition 2010,which will be organised by SGCCI in Surat later this year.
Gen. Ghalib said: We are getting good response from India,as many businessmen from this country are visiting Indonesia for trade. Along with industrial growth,cultural growth is also necessary for a country.
Hua Sun said the Surat visit will be a memorable one. He expressed the hope that it would turn positive in terms of business and trade.
