Before actor Rajendra Prasad is seen promoting vegetarianism in his forthcoming film Quick Gun Murugun,he happened to send out a similar message in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. The city-based Sankalp chain of restaurants made a 32 ft 5 inch long dosa, claiming it to be the world’s largest. It was named ‘Quick Gun Murugun Dosa’. “In a record time of less than 40 minutes,we’ve made the world’s largest dosa: 32 feet and five inches,” said Kailash Goenka, chairman and managing director of Sankalp chain of restaurants.

He further said: “We already hold the Guinness record for making the world’s largest dosa (30 ft long),which was made in February 2006. We broke our own record with this 32 ft 5inch long dosa.”One of the chefs Swami Goda said that a team of 16 chefs and eight helpers had been practicing for the past 10 days to get the correct length.

Another team member Sajjan Singh said it was difficult to handle the dosa on a 35 ft-long hot plate and to maintain a steady temperature across the length. Sankalp restaurant first entered the Guinness Book of records in March 1997 by making a 25ft long dosa.
