DCB arrests two for stealing autorickshaw

The Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch arrested two persons on Tuesday for allegedly stealing a CNG autorickshaw from a residential society in the Sardarnagar area of Ahmedabad.

The Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) arrested two persons on Tuesday for allegedly stealing a CNG autorickshaw from a residential society in the Sardarnagar area of Ahmedabad.

The accused have been identified as Amit Dubey,a resident of Narayanagar,and Lalluprasad alias Ramsamuj Vishwakarma,a resident of Vatva.

According to DCB sources,both the accused were caught near Isanpur Cross Roads. When they were interrogated,they had no licence and papers of the autorickshaw.

Further interrogation revealed that they had reportedly stolen the vehicle from a residential society while it was parked. They had changed the registration number from GJ-1 BX-1140 to GJ-1-BU-1340.

The DCB has handed over the accused to the Sardarnagar police,who will do further investigations into the case.
