College student stabbed,dies

A 22-year-old college student died after he was allegedly stabbed by his senior in HK College of Arts campus in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

A 22-year-old college student died after he was allegedly stabbed by his senior in HK College of Arts campus in Ahmedabad on Thursday. He was rushed to the city hospital where he scummed to severe lung puncture in the evening. The accused who are suspected to be from the third year batch are reportedly on the run.

The victim,identified as Vijay Kalu Desai,a second year student of Bachelors of Arts,is a resident of Ajanta Ellora complex in Thaltej area of the city.

The police said Vijay had an old rivalry with a group of boys,allegedly his seniors from the BA third year.

According to police,during a break time Vijay got into a verbal dual with a student. When the arguments heated up,the unidentified student brought other group members to fight.

After a few minutes,when Vijay tried to walk away from the fight,one of them took out a knife and stabbed him in his back,police added.

The college authorities alerted police who rushed to the spot with the forensic experts.

The police have lodged a case of assault and murder and begun an investigation in this regard.
