Nearly 12 lakh regular students will appear for their Class 10 and 12 state board exams conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) commencing Monday.
According to the exam schedule, the Class 10 exams will start Monday and end on March 22, whereas the Class 12 exams will end on March 26.
Over 9.17 lakh, including 7.06 lakh regular students, have registered for Class 10 exams. Another 1.11 lakh will appear in Class 12 Science — 38,863 in group A and 72,667 in group B. Another 20,438 students will repeat the exams.
GSHSEB has designated 981 centres across 84 zones for Class 10, 147 centres for science stream, and 506 centres with 1,580 buildings to be used for the general stream.
The board has also launched a helpline for students, parents and schools that will be operational from February 8 till March 26. Expert counsellors, including psychologists, will offer counselling services from 10 am till 6 pm.
