Dave, the current corporator in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and the convener of the party’s Pravas Cell, has also held the post of the chairman of Gandhiangar Urban Development Authority in the past. He will replace the party’s outgoing Gandhinagar city chief Ruchir Bhatt.

In Gujarat BJP’s organisation, the posts of the presidents of Ahmedabad city and Gandhinagar city are considered very important. Parts of both the cities cover significant portion of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency represented by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

The women, who have been appointed as the district presidents, are Nayanaben Patel and Chetanaben Ruparel (Tiwari).
Nayanaben is a three-time president of Kheda district panchayat and has replaced Ajay Barhmbhatt as party’s district unit chief.
Ruparel has been the president of Porbandar municipality in the past. She has replaced Ramesh Odedara as the Porbandar district unit chief of the saffron party.

In Vadodara district, the party has appointed Rasik Prajapati as the president. Prajapti is the OBC Cell president of the party’s district unit. He will take charge from the outgoing district president, Satish Patel. In the faction-riddled district of Vadodara, Prajapati is considered someone who does not belonging to any faction.
In Panchmahal, Mayank Desai has been appointed the district president of the party. Desai, a former general secretary of the district unit, will replace Ashvin Patel who had been holding the post for the last two terms.
