(REUTERS Photo)Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah, on Thursday, inaugurated a newly constructed guest house at the Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji temple at Gujarat’s Salangpur. The guest house – Gopalanand Yatrik Bhavan – has been built at the cost of Rs 200 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah narrated the various forms of Lord Hanuman and said, “In my life, whenever I faced a crisis, I got rid of the same while bowing down before (Hanuman) Dada.”
He also said that the guest house has been built in a 9 lakh square feet area, with more than 1150 rooms. It has been built in a short span of two years. Shah said that the guest house will prove to be a “much needed resting place” for devotees coming from far away places.
At the function, Shah paid his tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 149th birth anniversary. He said, “This great man, who was born 149 years ago, has made the current map of India. It is a matter of happiness for all of us that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel for two long years to disseminate his ideals.”
Shah also sought divine blessings at the temple along with his family.
On Friday, he is also scheduled to inaugurate Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s Waste to Energy Plant that has been built on a public-private-partnership (PPP) model.
