Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah will address 'Sahkar Se Samruddhi Tak', a conference to mark 102nd International Day of Cooperatives, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on July 6. The day also marks the third foundation day of the Union Ministry of Cooperation, which had come into being on July 6, 2021. Leading cooperative leader from Gujarat and National Cooperation Union of India and Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) Chairman Dileep Sanghani said the national-level event is being organised in Gujarat for the first time and is a “matter pride for the state”. Sanghani, who was addressing a conference in Gandhinagar on the occasion, said the event will be attended by around 5,000 cooperative representatives, including 200 national-level representatives. Sanghani was joined by Minister of State for Cooperation Jagdish Vishwakarma and Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ajay Patel on Wednesday. According to a statement, during the Sahkar Se Samruddhi Tak conference, Shah will launch AGR-2 Scheme, providing 50 per cent assistance to farmers on the purchase of nanofertilisers. Shah will initiate the payment for the same to three farmers at the event itself, it added. Further, Shah will inaugurate ‘Bharat Organic Atta’ produced by the National Cooperative Organics Limited and visit Changda Milk Producers Cooperative Society Limited in Banaskantha and two other cooperatives in Panchmahal on Saturday. The theme for the 102nd International Cooperative Day is 'Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All'.
