Unlike state, centre developing infra in Karnataka: Goyal

The central government is supporting the Karnataka government in “developing an industrial township” in Tumakuru under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, while Silicon Valley in Bengaluru is suffering from the state government’s “apathy” towards providing logistics support and quality infrastructure, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said in a social media post on Thursday.

Patil, citing a report on struggling diamond bourses in Surat, said that the Union Minister should use his office to help Bengaluru as a global city and assist the state in becoming a global destination.
