Toyota unveils new version of hybrid Prius
Toyota on Thursday unveiled its all-new version of hybrid car Prius as it looks to push more alternate fuel technology vehicles in the Indian market. The new fourth generation Prius combines a premium styling and an enjoyable driving dynamics to showcase the advanced technology and the Prius DNA which Toyota intends to carry forward in future. Commenting on the launch, Toyota Kirloskar Motor MD Naomi Ishii said: “India being a crucial market for us, we believe there is more to the market beyond just the numbers.
Renault unveils new Duster in India
Renault on Thursday unveiled the all new version of its popular compact sports utility vehicle Duster in India. The new Duster range includes 6 speed manual transmission (AMT) and also boasts of superior engineering, styling, safety and comfort features, the company said. “Over the years, Duster has firmly etched Renault on India’s automotive map,” Renault India operations country CEO and MD Sumit Sawhney said here. Mahindra XUV Aero – a basis for a future flagship SUV
Mahindra & Mahindra today uveiled an all-new concept called the Mahindra XUV Aero, which will become basis for the company’s future flagship SUV model. The Mahindra XUV Aero concept is a coupe-styled SUV that has been designed in-house at Mahindra Design Studio in Kandivali, Mumbai.
“The Mahindra XUV Aero takes the spirit of the cheetah and gives it an urban manifestation of the beast; a coupe crossover with an aerodynamic silhouette, bold graphics and a butch stance.”, said the company. If it goes into production, Mahindra XUV Aero concept will be the first mass market coupe design-inspired SUV in the country. (Read more)
Mahindra-SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV makes its India debut
Launched last year in its home-market Korea, Mahindra SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV today made its debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 – the Motor Show. Since the vehicle is already on test for quite sometime in India, we expect it to be launched sometime later this year. Though no official statement on its launch timeline was made by Mahindra & Mahindra. (Read more)
