Subhash Bhamre biography

Subhash Ramrao Bhamre is a political leader, Union Minister of State for Defence from Maharastra and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He is the incumbent Member of the Parliament from Maharastra’s Dhule Lok Sabha constituency.

He was born on September 11, 1963, in Sakari, Maharashtra. His mother, Gojarbai Ramrao Bhamre, was the first female MLA from Sakri.

He first contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections on BJP’s ticket from Dhule Lok Sabha seat and was victorious in his very first attempt. He retained his seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, taking his political stature to even higher levels than before. He has also served as the vice president of BJP’s Maharastra wing.

He has a medical degree and specialises in Oncology. On June 17, 2022, while travelling from Delhi to Aurangabad on Air India Flight 443, he used his medical expertise and gave emergency medical assistance to a passenger and saved his life.
