ABOUT Poonam Dhillon

Poonam Dhillon is one of the iconic stars of the entertainment industry. She has been in the industry for more than 35 years and has acted in more than 80 movies. She bagged the title of Femina Miss India at the mere age of 16 in the year 1977 which paved the way for her to enter the acting world. She is well recognised for her movies in the 90s like Noorie, Dard, Nishaan, Zamana, Awam and Sohni Mahiwal among others. Dhillon won a Filmfare for Best Actress in 1979 for her performance in Noorie which in turn brought her stardom in Bollywood. Moreover she has been active on the social welfare front where she has worked for issues like drug awareness and AIDS awareness, family planning and organ donation. She has also been seen in Bigg Boss-3 and emerged to be the runner-up on the show. Recently she has also launched an event and film production company, Poetic Justice Films Pvt Ltd.
