Bengaluru police on Thusrday carried out searches at the residence of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) secretary Santosh Menon as part its investigations into the Karnataka Premier League match-fixing case.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had earlier said that two TNPL franchises have been suspended in relation to allegations of corruption that surfaced during this year’s tournament.“No TNPL franchise has been suspended or banned,” TNCA secretary RS Ramasaamy told The Indian Express.

Sudhendra Shinde is the latest among a raft of names — besides Thara, owner of the Bellary Tuskers Arvind Reddy, the Tuskers captain and former Karnataka captain CM Gautam and Tuskers player Abrar Kazi were indicted — who have been booked for fixing the most recent edition’s final, which the Tuskers lost, and three other games in the 2018 and 2019 installments.
