Moderate winters land hosiery business in loss

Ludhiana, Jan 11 (ANI): The hosiery industry in Punjab has seen a dip in business with the region experiencing moderate winter this year. India has remained warmer this season as compared to the previous season during winter months. Hosiery items include stockings, sweaters, jackets, gloves and caps among other winter garments. The losses suffered by the industry have also affected the employees. According to businessmen, the sector has witnessed around 50 percent loss this season. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted slight rainfall over the next week.
