Kollam, Feb 16 (ANI): The last rites of Lance Naik Sudeesh B, who was buried under the February 3 Siachen avalanche, were held at his native town Kollam in Kerala on Tuesday. The bodies of nine soldiers of Madras regiment, who were buried alive under the glacier, were flown to the national capital on Monday.

Lance Naik’s father said they are very happy and waiting to see him. His nephew, who had lost all hopes, said it was blessings of the entire villagers that Naik fought with the extremely difficult conditions and was found alive. Hanamanthappa, who is on ventilator, arrived at the Palam airbase from where he was shifted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital.
