Allahabad, Feb 22 (ANI): Thousands of Hindu devotees on Monday took a holy dip at 'Sangam', the confluence of river Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, in Allahabad on the occasion of full moon day or 'Magh Purnima'. 'Magh Purnima' marks the end of a month-long Kalpwas for thousands of Kalpwasis camping on the banks of Ganga. People and priests made their way to the banks before the break of the dawn. The devotees braved freezing temperatures as they took a holy dip in 'Sangam' and offered prayers at the banks.

Haridwar, Jan 21 (ANI): Security has been beefed up at the Ardh Kumbh Mela in Varanasi after four suspected terrorists who were allegedly planning to launch an attack at the mela were nabbed on Wednesday. Thousands of Hindu devotees are seen thronging banks of Ganga. The police are using latest technology and equipments to monitor the activities in Haridwar. Haridwar, Jan 15 (ANI): On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, devotees were seeing braving the biting cold to take the holy dip that also marked the beginning of the annual month-long religious congregation 'Magh Mela'. Thousands converged in Allahabad at the confluence of Ganga and Yamuna which is also called Sangam, walking several miles on foot to take the holy dip. People were seen wading in waist-deep waters to pray and perform pujas.
