According to data shared by the Delhi government, the department has collected revenue of Rs 7,484 crore, which also includes excise revenue and Value Added Tax (VAT) on liquor in 2023-24. This is 10% higher than the Rs 6,830 crore collected in 2022-23.

According to officials, the department has asked all the hotels, clubs and restaurants (HCRs), wholesale and other distributors to renew their licence on or before March 31, for the fiscal year.
