David Warner made burst into the scene as a T20 specialist, becoming the first man since 1877 to debut for Australia without any first-class history. His hard hitting approach made him a crucial cog for Australia in T20s. He broke through the notion of being a T20 specialist when he was handed the baggy green in 2011. In his second innings of the debut, Warner showed tenacity that was never expected off him and mixed it with his trademark aggressive batting style and batted through the innings, thus getting to a total of 123. Australia lost the match but David Warner proved his credentials as a Test player. This was followed by a whirlwind 69-ball 100 against India at the WACA. Warner's hard hitting style is also accompanied by aggression on the field that sometimes spills outside it. He had once been suspended by Cricket Australia for punching England's Joe Root in a bar-room altercation in Birmingham, and had also been warned over a Twitter spat with a pair of journalists.
