Bajrang Dal, VHP activists attack CPM office in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Feb 17 (ANI): Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists allegedly attacked the office of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Sector 30 B here on Wednesday. CPI (M) state secretary Raghunath Singh said they were at home when they received information of VHP and Bajrang Dal activists raising slogans against the CPM, CPI and Prakash Karat. He confirmed lodging a complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) who sent some policemen there. He also went on to describe the ongoing JNU students row as being fascist in nature.

JNU protests: Sitaram Yechury allegedly receives threat call

New Delhi, Feb 15 (ANI): Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury allegedly received threat calls late last night for supporting the protests at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. The Delhi Police on Monday beefed up the security outside CPI (M) office after a complaint was registered at Mandir Marg Police Station. The Police have put all the call on surveillance.
