Rajasthan court staff hiring case: General category posts open to all candidates based on merit, says Supreme Court

Supreme Court Judgement on General Category Recruitment: Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George Masih in a case over the court staff recruitment in Rajasthan said the general category is not a quota but a pool of vacancies available to all irrespective of social classification.

The Karnataka High Court also clarified that all appointments made through these ongoing recruitments will be subject to the final outcome of the petitions challenging the law
