Malaysian make-up artist uses hijab to transform into Disney princesses and villains

Hijab, a garment that has otherwise been known to be simple and plain, has been undergoing a fashion evolution of sorts over the past many years. From designers recreating Barbie doll versions wearing a hijab, to Dolce & Gabbana debuting a new line of hijabs. In one such creative streak, a Malaysian make-up artist has been using the hijab to transform herself into various popular characters — from pretty Disney princesses like Jasmine to dark characters like the Joker and Poison Ivy. This comic book aficionado goes by the Instagram account Queen of Luna, and seems to be particularly fond of Batman. Otherwise known as Saraswati, the brilliant artist has been sharing hundreds of stunning transformations on Instagram. No wonder she has over 150,000 followers, and it's growing.
