Did you come across a vibrant google doodle today, instead of the everyday, multicoloured 'google'? Then it is because Google India is celebrating Children's Day, with the rest of India and what better than a beautiful doodle to put the sentiments across! What makes the doodle more special is that it is a drawing by an 11-year-old from Pune, Anvita Prashant Telang, who won the 'Doodle 4 Google' contest this year. Anvita had submitted the design to Google India on the theme — "If I could teach anyone anything, it would be”. In her drawing, she tried to put across the message of "enjoy every moment of your life". The sixth standard girl of Vibgyor High School in Balewadi loves to draw and wanted to showcase "how to value little and simple things in our lives as they are great sources of happiness". She believes people need to slow down to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Just the way she thinks, Anvita drew little cheerful kids having fun — hanging from trees, flying, swimming, playing with water, balloons and kites, and even daydreaming. Her doodle also stressed on nature and illustrated greenery all over. Also known as Bal Diwas, India celebrates Children's Day on November 14, the birthday of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Loving known as Chacha Nehru, he loved children and the day is a tribute to to him. Schools across the country organise cultural programmes to mark the day.
