Xiaomi has announced Redmi 3 Pro smartphone, a variant of Redmi 3 in China. The smartphone was announced alongside the new home appliances under Mi ecosystem sub-brand.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is basically an updated version of Redmi 3 with a new addition like 3GB RAM and rear fingerprint scanner. According to Phoneradar, the device will be priced at 899 Yuan.

Otherwise, the specifications of Redmi 3 Pro is similar to Redmi Note 3. The Redmi 3 Pro features a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor. The device has 32GB storage further expandable to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The dual SIM device runs MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash. It also has a 5MP front camera and is backed by a 4,100mAh battery.
