Huawei has launched three new smartphones under its Honor brand in India. The three new smartphones include Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart and Holly 3. The newly announced Holly 3 is the first ‘Made In India’ smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker. Honor 8 is priced at Rs 29,999 while Honor 8 Smart will retail for Rs 19,999. Huawei has priced Holly 3 at Rs 9,999. Honor 8 will be exclusive to Flipkart and Amazon, while Honor 8 Smart and Holly 3 will retail online and offline.
For Honor brand, the new Honor 8 smartphone will serve as the flagship smartphone. Honor 8 features same dual rear camera setup like Huawei P9, minus the Leica branding. It has an all glass design. The phone is the successor to Huawei’s Honor 7 that was launched in October last year. Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch Full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution), and is powered by the company’s own Kirin 950 octa-core processor coupled with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
The dual SIM phone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow running Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 skin on top. Honor 8 features a dual 12MP rear camera setup (f/2.2 aperture) that comes with laser autofocus and dual-LED flash, and also has features like geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR and panorama. The selfie shooter on the phone is an 8MP with a f/2.4 aperture.
Honor 8 is backed by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, and weighs 153 gms. The phone sports a USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector and can charge to 47 per cent in 30 minutes using Smart Power 4.0. The phone is fitted with sensors like a fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass and accelerometer.

Huawei’s Honor brand has also announced Honor 8 smart – a more budget friendly variant of Honor 8 with a metal unibody design and single rear camera. The smartphone has tweaked Antenna design like latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with a screen to body ratio of 76.4 per cent. Honor 8 Smart has same 5.2-inch Full HD display like Honor 8, but gets 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. It has a slower Kirin 650 processor under the hood. Honor 8 Smart sports a 13MP backside illuminated rear camera and an 8MP primary camera. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery uses microUSB port for charging.
Honor Holly 3 is a 4G device running on a Kirin 620 CPU and is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow running the EMUI 4. 1 skin on top. The phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable to 128GB). The primary camera on the phone is 13MP, while the front camera is 8MP – both with f/2.0 aperture. It backed by a 3100 mAh battery.
