Punjab Front declares 15 candidates

Addressing the media, Dr Gandhi said the nominees were nominated after two screening committee meetings held under the chairmanship of former SAD MLA Harish Rai Dhanda.

Punjab Front, formed by coming together of splinter groups of AAP led by its rebel MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi, on Tuesday released a list of 15 rebel AAP volunteers who would contest the upcoming Assembly elections.

Addressing the media, Dr Gandhi said the nominees were nominated after two screening committee meetings held under the chairmanship of former SAD MLA Harish Rai Dhanda.

Advocate Inderjit Singh is the Front’s candidate from Payal, Maninder Singh (an engineer) from Chabewal, Master Raj Kumar from Lehra, Prof Mohanjit Kaur Tiwana from Patiala-2, Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia’s name sake Bikram Singh from Majitha, Gurdarshan Singh from Amargarh and Balwinder Singh Fauji from Amritsar West.

The front has also fielded Rajiv Arora, a trader, from Ludhiana central, Principal Suba Singh from Amritsar South, Jagtar Singh Gill from Attari, Gurinder Johal from Ajnala, Santokh Singh Aujla from Ludhiana West, a social worker Kunwar Ranjan from Ludhiana South, Paramjit Singh Rajgarh from Nabha and Jorawar Singh Bhaowal from Ropar.

All the candidates are old committed workers of AAP, said Dr Gandhi. Prof Manjeet Singh, an aide of Yogendra Yadav, was also present on the occasion.
