Passenger tries to end life inside plane at Hyderabad airport

A passenger today allegedly attempted suicide inside a plane at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad area here, police said today.

The passenger identified as Mohd Imtiyaz slit his throat using a blade in the washroom of the flight which arrived from Dubai at the airport here, they said adding it is not yet clear as to why he resorted to the act.

“He (passenger) has been admitted to a hospital and is still unconscious,” RGIA Police Inspector A Krishnaiah said.
