Six dead after consuming illicit liquor in Andhra Pradesh

Police said that some of them collapsed while walking to work or reached their work place and fell ill.

Six dead in Vijayawada after consuming illicit liquor on Monday morning before going to work.

The condition of 10 others is critical. At least 25 daily wage workers consumed liquor at a bar near Suryalanka area of Vijayawada before heading out to work today early morning.

Police said that some of them collapsed while walking to work or reached their work place and fell ill.

“Four died initially and two died on way to hospital,” Excise Minister K Ravindra said, adding that an inquiry has been ordered as mixing of spurious liquor is suspected.
