Mamata Banerjee unanimously elected leader of TMC legislature party

Her nomination was seconded by all the newly-elected MLAs of the party.

Mamata Banerjee has been unanimously elected as the leader of Trinamool Congress legislature party at its meeting in Kolkata on Friday.

TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee, who was re-elected from Behala Paschim seat, proposed her name which was seconded by all the newly-elected MLAs of the party.

Banerjee after which, left for Raj Bhavan to meet the governor, apparently to stake claim to form a new government.
