Sania Mirza on No Filter Neha: I was hooked to Balika Vadhu, I asked my mom, Anandi ka kya hua?
Sania Mirza also had an interesting love advice for her friend Parineeti Chopra on Neha Dhupia's chat show, No Filter Neha. She said Parineeti is a little choosy when it comes to guys and she doesn't have that Bollywood mindset.

As Neha Dhupia’s talk show is getting closer to its finale, it’s getting sassier and quirkier. While Rishi Kapoor’s comments created quite a stir last week, this week Sania Mirza left all in splits as she revealed she was hooked to television soap Balika Vadhu and used to ask her mother what’s happening in Anandi’s life over the phone from Wimbledon. Talking about Balika Vadhu, the TV show based on the theme of child marriage which premiered in the year 2008, the tennis star said, “Listen, I liked that show. It was a sweet show. And my sister would be like, seriously? You’re going to sit in Wimbledon and you’re going to watch this? And I was like listen, I have to go and find this website that shows Balika Vadhu. I somehow lost interest over the last couple of years but my mum used to watch. So, whenever I would spend time with my mother, you have to sit and watch the serial. So obviously at some point, I started getting interested and I was like accha, ab kya ho raha hai. And on the phone, I’d be like mamma uska kya hua Anandi? I’ve always maintained in my interviews – do I look like the saas-bahu type to you? But I am. But I’m over that phase now, I’ve moved on to cooler things like Suits.”
Narrating the incident, when Sania was asked to leave a hotel Falaknuma Palace for partying too much. The party was organised to celebrate her being the number 1 in the world ranking. “We had a big night and it was a celebration and people jumped in the pool, with clothes on, fortunately. And then at 5 o’clock, they said listen, it’s really loud and we’re really sorry but you guys have to leave. And we were like, but we’ve paid for the room. I became number one in the world, come on, I deserve that kind of a party. But then we left.”
Sania is married to Pakistan’s ace cricketer Shoaib Malik who she says is as crazy as herself but is perceived to be an innocent man. Giving him a love advice, she says, “He should express more in words. I know he loves me but he should not take me for granted. He should let me know that he loves me.” Giving herself a love advice, she says, “I need to be less possessive. I’m not insecure, I am possessive. There is a big difference. I would love to be a better communicator.”

Well, Sania had an interesting love advice for Parineeti Chopra. “Parineeti’s love advice is – please love. She loves her friends, she loves her other relationships but I am like buddy, let’s just find you a guy. But she is a little choosy I think. So, she doesn’t want to be with actors, which she’s also said on one of the shows. She doesn’t have that Bollywood mindset,” quipped Sania.
