Bobby Darling opens up about her marriage and sex change operation

Bobby Darling, originally named Pankaj Sharma, went for a sex change operation before her marriage.

Bobby, a former Bigg Boss contestant was also the first person representing sexuality minorities which only continued on the show. She shared how she underwent a sex reassignment surgery in Bangkok before marrying Ramneek. “I underwent the surgery before marriage at the insistence of my husband. I got a certificate from my surgeon. It was a painful process and Ramnik stood by me like a rock,” she said.

Bobby has featured in films like Hasee Toh Phasee, Kya Kool Hai Hum and Page 3. The 34-year-old also has a record of playing 18 gay characters by the time she was 23. She was last seen in the television show Sasural Simar Ka. However, she has now become averse to playing homosexual roles. Bobby said, “I have transformed into a woman completely, so why should I play something that I am not? I now wish to play a heroine or bhabhi and don’t mind participating in reality shows.”
