Shilpa Shukla to have three releases this year

Manoj Bajpayee turns co-producer

The Tabu starrer will take off in April in Mauritius

The first film that will come out of Manoj Bajpayee Productions Pvt. Ltd is a thriller that actor Manoj Bajpayee is co-producing with Neeraj Pandey. Directed by debutant Mukul Abhyankar, the film will be completed in a start-to-finish schedule in April and will be shot entirely in Mauritius. For an actor who has worked in the industry for 20 years, Bajpayee feels that it was a natural progression to turn a producer. While, he has no intentions of venturing into direction, the actor is willing to produce any genre of films, that excites him.
Although, he cannot disclose much about his production venture, he says, “You will have to watch the film. If I spoke anything more, it would be revealing the story. All that I can say is that we are trying to break the stereotype. It’s an out and out thriller. A film that has Tabu and me always creates expectations, and it will be a very niche kind of a film,” said Bajpayee.
While, talks about Bajpayee starring in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bichade Hum Sabhi Baari Baari with Irrfan were doing the rounds, the actor states that they have not finalised anything as yet. “I have just heard a one-liner from Tigmanshu. I have as yet to get the complete script. We are still in the process of completing the formalities.”
Bajpayee’s forthcoming films this year include Traffic, Saat Uchakkey and Tevar, for which he is currently shooting.
